The Centre of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) at Kazimieras Simonavičius University is a division of the University offering opportunities for students to participate in the projects for development of entrepreneurship, work in interdisciplinary teams, learn from experienced entrepreneurs, gain practical skills for business development. The Centre also promotes co-operation between the University community and social partners in development and implementation of business ideas and projects.

The Centre of Entrepreneurship and Innovation works closely with Lithuanian and foreign business enterprises and other organizations, and helps create relevant programmes of study in line of the demands of labour market, organising students practice and developing research.

The Centre of Entrepreneurship and Innovation aims to encourage the entrepreneurship of students, teachers and researchers, creating innovation-friendly environment and the support system.

Promoting entrepreneurship

The Centre of Entrepreneurship and Innovation together with the School of Business promotes entrepreneurship of the University students, teachers, researchers, and offers innovation- and entrepreneurship -friendly environment. Teachers of the School of Business are actively involved in various entrepreneurial education and business and innovation support projects:

Business LAB – the project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, under the VP2-2.2-ŪM-02-K facility Assistant-4 of the VP2-2 priority “Increasing business productivity and improving business environment” of the VP2 Economic Growth Program. The aim of the project is to increase the activity of SMEs in the regions by providing advice on business issues, creating cooperation centres (hereinafter the HUB).

Innovative business promotion (INOVEKS) – a project carried out in conjunction with Visoriai IT Park.

KSU Student House – a western home of students of the future, created and administrated by students. Student House is a hostel where students not only live, but also can work on their free time. Students are the hosts of this hostel, testing and actually implementing business ideas in the service sector. They also receive part of the profit of the hostel.

Services of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre:

  • Entrepreneurship and innovation research in Lithuanian regions (implementation of business accelerator models and methodologies, development and implementation of entrepreneurship education models and methodologies);
  • Development and implementation of entrepreneurship education models and methodologies;
  • Business competitiveness studies and modelling;
  • Sociological research of business.
